Baby Car Seat vs Stroller, pt 1.

Which would you get first?
If you could only afford one at a time

Concord Ultimax Car Combi Calpino Stroller
Our choice: Concord Ultimax, Germany & Combi Calpico, Japan

Both are equally important — without a doubt! — especially if we are out and about. In the early days would be going to the Pediatric and to Church for Sunday Mass.

Every parent wants to give their baby the best, but it is near impossible to buy everything. By not wanting to compromise the quality — buying both on a tight budget — we’ll need to strike one out for the other, so we can still get the best.

Some might argue that the Car Seat is more important because of the journey. Then only after reaching the destination, that the baby needs the Stroller. We can still opt to use our Baby Carrier or Baby Sling, but using either might not be so convenient during Mass *headache*

The argument is indeed endless. At the end of the day, we’ll just have to weigh the usage factors and see which is evidently more needed in different situations.

After weeks of deliberation, we have made a decision and that’s coming in Part 2 ;)

mm we made up our mind to use the infant carrier/car seat for early days. sbb tak boleh pakai lama kan. depends on how big/heavy yr baby gonna grow. but tht thing is quite cheap and lightweight so should be ok la. can be a rocker sumore. so 3 in 1 lah. unless if u go for maxi cosi, mmg la almost rm800. but so far the ones at safe n sound are not bad, altho I must admit we havent found anything suitable yet. hehhe

as for stroller, I knw abt the maclaren recall, tp dia bukan recall apa, they just provide the hinge to go with it, so tht during bukak n tutup, it is safe. but as long as u make sure yr baby is not hovering around u while folding the stroller, should be safe. we got the quest mod for rm630! cool gila. normally paling murah pun after less will be around rm750+ la. original price was RM840 ke apa tah. something like tht la. but if u got the $$ do check out the xt or xlr range. mmg comfy habis! can use since newborn. a bit pricey la but I love it! the only downside is, its quite heavy for me to manage by myself. oh btw we got the stroller frm mom’s care.

as for car seat, will buy after the baby outgrow his infant carrier. hehhee. sekian.

oh just tambah hinge je . nasib baik bukan kena reject terus! *phew*

i don’t really like maclaren design. ben’s colleague passed us their maclaren techno to sample and scubby has been growling at it since last night *haha* kalau nak light weight, you should check out combi. super light and very easy to fold, plus reversible handle. i like that a lot!
