Boba 3g Carrier
From Daddy to Mommy for Baby

270512

Tada! That’s me wearing Eli — on Day 48, weighing 5.8kg — in my new soft structured carrier, all set to go out for some grocery shopping. That was our 3rd time using the ssc and all three times were short trips on errand about 2-3 hours top. Eli slept through each time and only fussed when I had to sit down in the car.

This tweet-licious ssc was a Mommy’s Day gift from Daddy last month. I started researching on Monday and we went to get it on Saturday. That was the perfect time to hint without being too obvious *hehe* Our daughter benefits from it too, so it’s not just all mommy *double winks* The most important part was that I managed to “give” my old carriers a new home two weeks later and they didn’t become white elephants. Everyone was happy happy :)

So what’s so good about Boba that I retired my Baby Bjorn and Jumpsac? The most obvious would be the weight distribution for me — on the shoulders and hip for support — and comfort for Eli. No more crotch crunchers that could cause hip dysplasia! I especially like this Tweet design too and the additional thoughtful features that are friendly to the wearer. I give Boba a 5 star *yays*

Between the Bjorn, Jumpsac and Boba, I definitely prefer the latter. According to my past experience, ring sling is only great during early days when baby is below 5kg. Anything more, the single shoulder support will cause much aches. As for the two ssc, Boba wins hands down with its better health features and weight support.

I used to think spending so much money on a baby carrier was unnecessary since baby outgrows it pretty fast. How to wear my baby till 10kg and more?! My mistake was buying the wrong kind to begin with. It is possible with the right ssc. After understanding each carrier’s pros & cons and personally experiencing all three, Boba is surely the “longer” term investment and it is worth every Ringgit. RM394.20 to be exact — 10% offer from RM438 — at Fabulous Mom. Daddy can take over Boba when I can no longer take Eli’s weight.

Mommy and Eli both loved the Boba. Thank you to Daddy for getting it for us. Now I can wear Eli and have my hands free to hold Nate’s when we’re out. The monkey, the tiger and the dragon walking hand in hand and bag♥

Hi jac! Looking good!

I”m thinking of selling off my bjorn too, was looking into getting an ergo. What’s the difference between ergo and boba?

Thanks!

Ergo vs Boba? Gotta run a quick google on that cause honestly can’t remember but vaguely I know in comparison, Boba has better features. The sizing is better and can fit both parents. 3g can carry infant where other ssc cannot, so that’s a big plus point.

So far I only know Fabulous Mom has them in store. Wait for midyear sale for better price ;)

How’s the bun in your oven cooking? Strawberry or blueberry topping? Hehe :)

Did some quick google search as well, the points you mentioned are the main ones. Hubby says to wait till I deliver the bun to try it on, then decide whether I really need to get one =)

Anyways, this blueberry bun is seriously active, gives hard kicks and punches, don’t know if he’ll like being in a carrier. ;)

Big big congratulations! I am super excited for you hehe. We’ve got a perfect pair. A tiger girl and dragon boy. Praise God! :)

Yup agree with your hubby. Wait till blueberry is here hehe. Try him on the Bjorn and see if he likes. Nate kicked a lot too but allowed me to swaddle till 4mo. Eli was such good girl in the womb but feisty after born and dun like to be swaddle. That’s why she didn’t like my baby sling.

Decide later ya. Nothing is final till he’s in your arms :)
