Yup! You read the title right. Natey said Mama over and over again today. My heart is utterly completely absolutely swelled with happiness *beams*

Earlier this morning, Natey already gave me a preview of what is to come later today. While I was massaging him with baby oil after his bath, he said Ma-Me once. I smiled at the thought of him finally acknowledging his Mother verbally.

He said Mommy plenty of time before since 2 months back. But it was always a one time deal so I could never be sure if it was just a coo that coincidentally sounded like Mommy, or he really did call me Mommy. And nobody believed me anyway *sulks*

So when he finally said Mama repeatedly at 6.19pm today, I was literally bouncing up and down!

First Words Keepsake 1

After changing Natey’s nappy, I placed him seated upright on our bed while I washed his soiled cloth diaper in the bathroom. That was when I heard the 1st Mama as clear as day!

Immediately, I came out and stood by the bathroom door asking him to repeat. He did not of course! But later I couldn’t stop him from saying it over and over again while giggling away *melts*

The husband got to hear it for himself too when he came back from work just now. So I have a witness! And I did not make this up

Indeed our son’s very first word is Mama! *melts again*

I am floating on cloud nine now. And will continue to stay there until his next big milestone. I’m going to teach him Papa!

I know I will fall asleep smiling later ♥
