My Verdict:

Our 1st baby balm as new parents was Angel Baby Bottom Balm and we loved it. If not for iHerb, I doubt I would have bought Badger to try — Local vs iHerb is almost 60% price difference!

When we started using Badger, I didn’t quite like it because of the thickness. It is made from beewax — honey bees use this to build honeycomb — compared to the usual non organic balm that uses the toxic petroleum jelly. As you can see from the picture, I had to dig into the balm during each application hence leaving a hole.

Angel Baby contains organic herbs, so we could use it for many other booboos around the house. Badger on the other hand is what its namesake suggest: Baby Balm for diaper rash, cradle cap and delicate skin. It’s a good moisturiser too for dry skin.

The balm lasted us for about 3 months and this is our 2nd tin. It’s definitely very economical, but best of all it is natural, safe and effective

The morning was hot and the people were many. I went on my own — took turn with the husband — with an umbrella in hand. It was a 10 minutes walk across the road. Rain or shine, come what may.

My Verdict:

Ok so what’s this? It tastes almost like coffee — I’d give it a 98% but minus 100% caffeine guilt — and definitely smells like coffee, yet it is not coffee. It is natural and really the next best thing for my coffee craving

I make a mug every morning to go with my breakfast. Add a teaspoon of sugar and two creamers, it tastes exactly like the real deal. Well at least to me. Perhaps for hardcore coffeeholic might beg to differ. But for a breastfeeding mom who should kick caffeine aside, this is a good alternative. And for those that goes for decaf, this is surely the Better alternative because it is made of barley, chicory, rye and Nothing Else!

You can’t get this locally, and it is a German product. I reckon even if we can get this here, it would probably cost twice the price. That’s the great thing about buying from iHerb, the bargain makes me return again and again *hehe*

My Verdict:

I love the convenience, the amazing yummy smell, the smooth texture after applying, the great bargain and the giant lip balm look alike packaging (is not a lip balm though ya).

The first time I saw this product on iHerb, I honestly thought it was for baking. I didn’t read the description and dismissed it many times. After giving birth, my skin is so dry and when I searched for moisturiser, this came up in the result. Being only less than RM5, I gave it a try — it’s an iHerb bestseller no less — and I never go without it ever since.

The stick is about 6x the weight of our usual lip balm. You push it out from the bottom to apply and push it back in when done. It smells so delicious, it feels as though you can eat it! Imagine the person taking a whiff of you *hehe*

My Verdict:

I love my little helper. The only reason why it’s not getting my full stars is because it tends to boil out no matter how little portion I cook — ratio is 1 cup rice to 2 cups water. That’s quite a bummer since it can steam dishes on top, but if I can’t close the lid, how to steam leh? *humph

My morning ritual everyday before prepping to cook our lunch is to boil Eli’s porridge first. While it cooks, I will wash, cut and set aside ingredients. Before I’m even done — about 15 minutes or so — the cooker’s switch will jump and the light turns green annoucing the porridge is done. That’s one item ticked off my day’s chores

Although the pot is said to be non stick, my porridge or rice still sticks and occasionally browns at the base. To avoid this — though it still happens, especially while keeping warm — I will need to stir the porridge often while it boils. You’ll see me going back and forth from dry to wet kitchen multi tasking about 4 tasks at a go *supermom in action*

Despite the boiling out and browning, I still love this mini rice cooker. I only have 2 stoves, so using this to boil then keeping warm already solve 2 headaches in a row *thumbs up*

I’ve been baking almost every other day. The electricity bill can be my witness, other than my waistline. I’m out of control! It’s really eat, sleep and breathe muffins. Even in my dreams, I am being all Ratatouille-ed. Very soon the muffin would be me (-__-||)

If you asked me a month ago, I’d probably still laugh this off. But here I am today, a Baker Anonymous. It isn’t quite the same after filling my home with the smell of rising flour, to be without it even for a day. This amazing smell, it sorta completes our home

It was 8.05am and Nate was all set for school. I was clearing up his toys on the floor at the study when Eli standing near me lost her balance into my arms saying Mama. Hubby was nearby and heard her too

For a few months now, Eli would occasionally make the sound MA when distressed. A few days back, she started making Mmm sounds repeatedly. I knew it’s only a matter of time that she’ll be able to say Mama. When that happened earlier, it was truly heartwarming — even now as I type this — because she was reaching for me while saying Mama *melts*

At times like these — first words, flipping, crawling, standing, walking, etc — is what makes being an exhausted sleep deprived SAHM the best job in the world. It’s ok to be that “yellow face aunty” because I get to witness these priceless moments first hand *yay*
