10 Aug 2010Here’s something else to look forward to next month. Another Japanese shōjo manga turned TV drama and starred by my favourite flower boy, Kim Hyun Joong! *besotted*
The Korean adaptation of the manga (Itazura na Kiss/Playful Kiss) is called It Started with a Kiss, or aka Mischievous Kiss.
Synopsis
Based on the popular manga, Oh Ha Ni is a clumsy student who falls for the perfectionist, Baek Seung Jo. However, Seung Jo is indifferent towards her and rejects her love. When Ha Ni’s house collapses, she and her father moves into his long-time friend’s house. It turns out that Seung Jo is the friend’s son and Ha Ni is given the opportunity to be near the guy she loves.
Will she be able to move Seung Jo’s heart?

The 2 main leads will be starred by Jeong So Min as Ha Ni and Kim Hyun Joong as Seung Jo. I wonder if the storyline would be an exact replica. Total episodes are 16, but the Japanese version only had 9. It’ll be airing on MBC this 1 September 2010 at 11pm. I can’t wait!
I’m counting on KHJ fans to upload the episodes with English subtitles on YouTube. No Mandarin dubbed show for me please! *ugh*
Behind-the-Scene Interview
Unfortunately no subtitles
Translation of KHJ portion by one of his fans:
I think Lee So-min’s puffy eyes are pretty.Lee Tae-sung says that he likes her eyes because they look like his.
Playing the role of a high school student is not difficult. However, I’m very conscious about my visible facial hair and I shave 3 times a day.
I saw the original manga (comic) of the story and I think that my character does not have a really attractive personality.
The first day September will be the first broadcast of the drama, Please show us love.
