Boys Before Flowers, Meteor Garden & Hana Yori Dango

My Verdicts

Meteor Garden:
Part 1 = 19 episodes, Part 2 = 31 episodes.

I tried watching it again previously while waiting for BBF, but it was too Painful and I stopped at episode 1 *LOL*

Even back in 2001 and 2002, I felt the drama was too long and slow *yawns* The boys’ acting — being newbies — were stiff and awkward.

Hana Yori Dango:
Part 1 = 9 episodes, Part 2 (Hana Yori Dango Returns) = 11 episodes.

I’ve only watched Part 1. The drama moves very swiftly compared to MG 1, without compromising any details.

The series ends with Hana Yori Dango Final, and that was made into a film.

I’ve got to find both. ASAP! *heh*

Boys Before Flowers:
25 episodes in total. And I enjoyed every one of it! ♥

I’m currently re-watching — whenever possible — and stopped at episode 6 now.

The storyline sums up everything from MG 1 and 2. So I suspect I’ll find it the same for HYD Returns. But let’s watch that before deciding

If you’ve not watched either of the 3 versions — Taiwan, Japan or South Korea’s — Boys Before Flowers is definitely the one to choose! *bias alert*

Shōjo Manga Writer and Owner, Yoko Kamio insisted a 2 year policy break for any remake of her manga. So it’ll be 2011, before we get to see Ji Hoo Sunbae again *sobs*

Btw, China is in production for their very own adaptation too! (-__-|||)
