I'm sure they should have reclinable bed. Sounds quite ridiculous for such an established hospital not having it. Your Doc ought to be spanked! LOL

Btw, where is KJMC? I still couldn't figure out the acronyms hehe :P

I've checked around my friends who gave birth in SunMed. They all told me the labour beds are reclinable. My doctor was probably just pulling my leg, I guess. Yes, I should be able to decide how I want to deliver....even WHO states so! Gonna check out KJMC this weekend...

He does! And I told him I don't mind being undignified if it'll spare me an ounce of pain, esp the tearing part! But I did give myself an option of staying upright if I'm too exhausted in that position.

You should consider your options and not let the doctor direct the show. You odd to have some control of your own wishes. It is your delivery. I seriously don't agree on delivering lying down because without the gravity, you'll be pushing like mad!

Wow...so professional! Your doctor really allowed you to do it on all fours? Amazing! I'm still scared of switching doctors/hospitals at this point. Hehehe, maybe I should just try and "kacau" my doctor with this idea next week, she'll definitely roll her eyes in shock.
