a different kind of celebration on fours.

On this new year’s day, I would like to immortalise an ironic absolute cuteness.

At 6.00pm today, we left Scubby happily un-caged within our study area fenced up by his former playpen.

At 10.05pm earlier, we returned to an even happier Scubby greeting us at our door.

If you noticed, I mentioned “greeting us at our door”. By right, he should be within the vicinity of our study area that was fenced up.

Playpen
And so, need I explain more?

Our carpet was spotted with tiny golden nuggets. Six to be exact. Thank God it was dry and not wet!!

My malindi Crocs was embedded with countless teeth marks, both sides were dragged from the front door to the guest room. And placed side by side to be found!

The Balinese cat statues (we bought during our honeymoon) were missing their fishing rods. The husband later discovered them but the tiny wooden fish hung on the rod were savagely mutilated! Now the poor cats lost their pastime.

The cockroach trap box was almost torn, but – THANK GOD – the tiny poisonous baits within was untouched. Else, Scubby would have been roach-killed!

Did I forget anything else?

THANK GOD, THANK GOD he peed – twice – in the toilet instead of the carpet! *sigh of relief*

Finding all these, you’d think I would be Furious. But ironically, all I can do was Smile. Hence, this is definitely an Ironic Absolute Cuteness to kick of the new year.

Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year. Scubby certainly is! ;)
