the melodramatic mouse attempts to blog

Feel free to use this for yourself as a guide. Do drop me a comment if you find anything else “absolutely necessary” that are lacking from this list. Part 2 will come later
p/s: Note those with asterisk* can wait a little while. But I’m still hoping to get my rocking chair.

As you can see, I’m slowly striking off the items above because they are not really that absolutely necessary after all![]()

The changing table, baby toiletries and toys can be put off the list. Baby can be changed on the bed (just buy the changing mat). Friends and visitors will present you with toiletries and toys when they visit you.
Trust me, my kiddo has turned 18 months and we’ve just finished the gifted toiletries!!!
It is indeed a large investment when having a baby!!

last saturday masa pergi antenatal class tu kan, the midwife told us toiletries babies tak payah beli yg complete2 sangat. beli sabun je. n no need to use lotion and talcum or powder (absolutely no-no, the particles can cause asthma). because their skin is v.sensitive and u might want to avoid using too many things, in case of allergy reaction.
and just use the soap to bathe him, dont use shower gel or bath oil, difficult to rinse. the only thing u need is the johnson n johnson baby oil for baby massage. tu je.
n a rocking chair? wow gempak lah u mummy!
feeding wise, U dont need a high chair now. maybe 3-4mths and above.
as for clothing, for newborns buy a lot of front button tops. easier to change.

You started your antenatal class already? Thinking of doing it in January. Yup I won’t be getting everything on the list first, but those are the necessities. Wanna calculate total cost. Probably start getting the furniture next month.
Rocking chair very useful tau. Bila your baby taknak tidur and wants you to carry, takkan nak jalan around for hours. Entahla I watch too much western movies LOL.
Anyway which hospital are you delivering? When is your due date?

its best if u go early. one session je la class dia pun. 9-6 pm. because they will tell u whats the best diet, exercise, breathing technique and so on that u will have to practice from now on. I went to the one in selangor specialist hospital.
Plan to deliver there as well. quite near from our place. altho the price mampu mencekik, then again what to do. haha. due date will be february laa. told u d.

One full day class! Boleh digest ke? I don’t think I can survive a whole day without rest. The one at Gleneagles is a few Saturdays, 3hrs each. Price I dah lupa. How much was yours? Inilah masanya kita jadi “mangsa” cut throat LOL.
Yala I ingat you said Feb. But I ask you due date, bukan due month
Like mine is 1st March. But can deliver early anytime 3 week before. Me and my sister came exactly on our due date dulu.
