Nursery Checklist, pt 5 – Necessity vs Luxury.

In: Preparations|We're Expecting

10 Apr 2010

I started putting together our 1st checklist back in October last year. Everything then was listed based on what we thought we might need, so it was only natural to get side tracked as we proceeded to Part 2, 3 and 4.

I’m a little more aware now — though still overwhelmed — of what is really needed versus those that can be compromised. I still have the urge to get everything for Nathaniel *guilty*

Thanks to family, relatives & friends — you know who you are! — for showering us with their kind gifts, Nathaniel is blessed with luxury no less :)

Pstss…have you tried Milkmaid Tea? Any good? How about BabyBjorn Carrier? I’m thinking to get one since a friend of mine is coming back from US soon and it’s cheaper to get it there.

Joey,

I’m at my 2nd box of Milkmaid Tea now. Not sure if it really helps coz according to the midwife, BF more and you’ll yield more BM.

You’ll have to wait for my review on BabyBjorn vs Baby Sling which I’ll be doing in a while. Natey is still a bit too small for the carrier despite the label says fit 3.5kg above. But if your friend is coming back, get it! ;)

May Yee,

Looks like we’ve got the same taste ;) The Concord is very nice, and so is the price ya :) Which Combi did you get?

Don’t delay the nursing pillow and make sure you have it with you after delivery. You’ll definitely appreciate it. And I highly recommend My Brest Friend. Only downside is they don’t sell cases. Natey has leaked poo and vomited on it. Takes a while to dry :(

Mommy doing better and coping well. Enjoy bathing Natey :)

Lucky you if minimum 3x leaks only. It was every hour for me! :P

Enjoy your pregnancy ok. And remember take video of your tummy while talking to baby so next time can show her. I forgot to do it! :(

Jaclyn, My Brest Friend does sell cases! I saw them in Singapore. Huge variety of colours and designs to choose from. They even have the “organic” version of My Brest Friend nursing pillow. Perhaps if you have friends over there, can ask them to get it for you?

Worth getting if it’s for long-term use! Or else, you can temporarily cover the pillow with a cloth if your current case is being washed.

True too but not sure how long can use the pillow since now Natey’s leg already dangling off the edge :)

Not so steady to use without the case because it needs to buckle up.

Yup I know which one. The wheels are much smaller than my Well Carry. And the handle is reversible rite? I love our Combi :)
