the melodramatic mouse is now mellomom
I’m now drooling over this yummy making machine. As its name suggests, it steams and blends all in one knob. Just throw everything in, steam, flip, blend and serve. Isn’t that just fantabulous! *wahh*
Philips Avent Combined Steamer and Blender
NP: RM399, Sale Price: RM319.20
Total Savings: RM79.80

Nutritious meals made easy

What I like about this compact little gadget is the possible time saved. Although steaming is an easy task, it could eat up about 30-45mins preparation time depending on ingredients — 1) put water in pot, 2) put ingredients in elevated dish, 3) wait for boil, 4) wait to cook, 5) wait to cool, 6) remove and throw into blender *yawns*
Ask any Mommies and they’ll tell you that they will gladly exchange an arm and foot for those golden minutes. Or anything that could help around the house. So it is easy to fall prey to this magic convenience
Watch the demo video below and see just how easy it is to make wholesome homemade goodies for your baby ♥
I really wanted to run out and buy this after watching the video. Unfortunately everywhere is Out of Stock! Maybe that’s a blessing in disguise? *hmm*
I was hoping to experiment with it before Natey starts taking solids. Looks like I’ll just have to do the conventional steaming for now. As for the blender, Popo will have to loan Mommy her super canggih Magimix!

yes babe. I’m so crazy over this thing too! and memang betul semua tempat pun out of stock and according to mybbstore, the stocks will only come in like 1-2 months time. haihhh. maybe by that time, we are already an expert in using the pots n pans of conventional cooking. ha ha.
dekat babyjaya ada lagi stok, tapi x de discount. RM80 is a lot of money to waste. &%**&
anyway what will be natey’s first food? I’m still debating between avocado or heinze pure rice cereal mix with breastmilk. hmmm sounds so not delicious, but tempting enough for them who has non stop berangan chewing everytime they saw us eating, right?

We are a sucker punch for convenience nowadays ya LOL.
1-2 months!*&^%$ I’m gonna try Singapore then. Will need to beg SIL for help
Will start on rice cereal with EBM first. Any brands in mind? Organic?
Did you try your own BM before? Too geli for me hehe. But will probably be tasting it when I am trying to feed Natey. You know how babies are, wanna imitate us. So the spoon will be flying in our mouth first

Actually I was going to buy this, when my friend alerted me of several negative reviews about the product. Apparently the food has to be cut to size, and sometimes the steamer won’t totally cook the food (steaming function not functioning very well).
I started feeding my kid solids 1 month ago, and i’ve learnt that steaming is not really long-term if you’re taking the asian route to solid feeding (i.e. porridge, porridge and peas, porridge and vege etc). Also some kids just don’t like steamed stuff (My kid refuses to take steamed fruit so i have to mash fresh food or boil the vegetables)
Do some research before you buy lah then you decide, and if you really want it badly, well, there’s still stock available at Sunway Pyramid’s Mom’s care (i just saw it this afternoon).

Thanks for forewarning me. It’s just so pretty that it’s easy to fall for the idea
It hasn’t crossed my mind about the porridge diet. I do want to experiment with the different vege/fruit combo puree. Looks like fun. But again it solely depends on Natey’s appetite rather than my masak-masak joy keke.
Sunway is too far. Hubby is too busy. So I’ll have to pass this opportunity

Wooo…cool device! I’m tempted too but well oh well, for now, we’ll stick with traditional method first and see what Ewan likes/dislikes.
If you need me to get it from Sunway Pyramid, just shout ok? I’m just a walk away

Will have to pass this desire. It’s a bit too pricey for us. Will experiment with my Mom’s canggih blender first. Need to figure out when to do it
