the melodramatic mouse is now mellomom
In: Motherhood|Postnatal
13 Apr 2010I have been feeding the sink since I started breastfeeding Natey exclusively 3.5 weeks ago. I don’t keep any of my EBM now, whether after feeds or in between feeds.
I don’t want to put Natey back on the bottle because that made him greedy and impatient. He bites — with his super hard gums — when my flow is slow compared to the bottle. So no matter how painfully sore I am, I would still let him latch on *tears of sacrifice*
After getting an advice from an experienced Mommy friend — Thank you, LinLin! — it would be wise to keep stock of my EBM as there will be days of low supply or I get ill. Faithfully, I listened!
Preparing for Dry times
It might or might not happen *fingers crossed*

There are 15 bottles — 12 Safety Plus & 3 Medela — in total and they are all BPA-Free. Not sure if they are sufficient, but for starters it ought to be? If you’re disapproving the tiny size. Well I am guilty for adorable things, and they are super cute! *keke*
Now that I am bottle-readied, I shall let my sink go on a hunger diet for a while until all these are filled *yay*
Btw, EBM stored in the freezer can last up to 3 months. But I’m not going to let them sit that long, so that means the sink will get its share again every few weeks
Anyway I hope I don’t have to use them anytime soon!

Yo, you are a mind reader! I was just thinking to get more milk storage bottles since the glass containers my hubby got from the hospital’s neo-natal unit can only contain max 3.5oz while Ewan is already taking 4oz EBM at each feed. Safety Plus seems like a good choice.
By the way, I did what you did to Scubby and boy did Odee love my liquid gold, hehehe! These days when I go to the kitchen after expressing, he will trail me with a hopeful look

If you are mixing with formula later on, I might suggest you get the bigger bottle because the one I got was 4oz. I was too taken by the cute size hehe.
Scubby goes crazy everytime he sees me holding the pump. And I will always tease him with “Milk Milk”. He learns really quick with all these food words keke. But don’t give too much because it will make their poo soft like babies! No kidding
