Postnatal 06: Nursing Bra, pt 1.

How many pairs of nursing bras does a nursing Mommy needs? Well if you are a shopping jinx like myself, you’ll probably have too many to go around BUT none of them fit. At least, not anymore.

To date, I have collectively bought 12 pairs of nursing bras from Fabulous Mom: 2 Eunice, 4 Amber and 6 Sarah. Total spent RM323.00! *hubby faints* There’s no point of going to FM anymore because these are already *ahem* their biggest size in the shop.

So here I am engorged with no adequate support for my “girls” and squeezed into 2 sizes too small causing pain to the point of passing out. I need new ones and I need to get them quick! *sweats*

This morning I called Roberta — my Brazilian Mommy girlfriend — for rescue advice and she highly recommended me Carriwell’s Nursing Bra. By the look of the video below, I am crossing my fingers and toes that it is my Salvation!

Did you know that the breasts can increase by TWO cup sizes between nursing? I didn’t! No wonder I’m in so much agony. Why didn’t I thought of asking her earlier? *smacks self* :(

I’ll endure what I can now — had been for 3 weeks! — and wait for the husband to bring me shopping after work. I called 9 months at Pavilion earlier and they have the size I need. Hopefully Carriwell will work for me as they did Roberta *fingers crossed*

I promise to do a review on this soon. So if you’re planning to get yours, Don’t Yet!

Yo Ms Voluptuous! Both your hubby and son must be very happy now ;P

My nursing bras are from Fabulous Mom too; those in Mothercare are so pricey! The only thing I don’t like about FM nursing bra is the “wrinkled cloth” around nipple area especially when we’re wearing something slightly tighter. It makes me look as if I have 2 nipples at each side!

Carriwell looks comfy and smooth…let us know if they’re more comfortable. Meantime, enjoy your voluptuousness…

i’m starting to look around for maternity/ nursing bras. my pre-pregger ones are starting to feel a lil’ tight but they’re still bearable.

when dichu start using maternity bras? was told to wear them as early as possible – milk duct matter.

also, i need padded ones. yeah, otherwise bright, very bright spot lights. too glaring!

How to enjoy with the *&^%intense pain? :P

I bought 2 of this seamless bra and it feels great at the shop. Usually that’s how it works for me — feels great at the shop, I buy it back, try it for a week and it’s no good actually. I am jinxed at shopping. Period.

But I do they will do wonders. Fingers crossed! Let you know in a week time :)

Hey Ling,

I can’t remember when I started to expand to the point of discomfort. I know I began with bra extenders then as my body gotten wider, I had no choice but to get new bigger ones. I’m not talking about the cup but the bandwidth. But get a cup bigger ;)

You don’t have to buy maternity/nursing bras yet. An upgraded size of a normal wireless bra will do fine. What you need is adequate support for the growing twins :)

Don’t get too many pairs, just enough for wash, dry and rotate. Definitely padded ones! I know what you mean by glaring spotlights LOL.

Ling,

Yup those does look pretty. Just don’t get too many pairs because you will outgrow them depending how big you can get ;)

Do try out Carriwell. The one I am using is not padded so it might not be so suitable for you. Unless you wanna add a breast pad like me — test run how it feels like when you leak milk LOL
