Thirsty after cracking all those Sunflower Seeds? How about having some refreshing Coconut Water straight from Mother Nature’s backyard itself? A double for me, please! *yums*

Coconut Water

Young coconut water is rich with Chlorides, Potassium, Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Iron, Copper, Carbohydrates, Proteins, Dietary Fibre, Manganese, Riboflavin and Vitamin C *phew**out of breath* I bet we didn’t know that!

And I bet, you want to know these too ;)

Alleviates Vomiting — Coconut Water has long been used as a remedy for typhoid, malaria and other illness-induced vomiting. Thus, it should also help mitigate a bad case of morning sickness.

Soothes the stomach — It can quell a queasy tummy and lessen the symptoms of nausea. If only I found out earlier, then maybe my morning sickness days could have been more tolerable *humph*

Virgin Coconut Oil – Balances blood sugar and controls diabetes. It also helps keep morning sickness in check and offers some protection against gestational diabetes.

Alkalizes the Body — High in Potassium, Magnesium and other alkalizing minerals, coconut water can help to create an environment more conducive to conception and perhaps even reduce the risk of miscarriage.

Act as a Mild Laxative — Drinking moderate amounts of coconut water can relieve constipation that’s common during pregnancy.

And not forgetting — Promotes healthy lactation, great for dry skin, reduces stretch marks, cleanses the kidney, boost our immune system, keep the body cool & hydrated, etc…

Do we even need more reasons to indulge in this delicious sin?

The husband is now on his way to the nearby store to bring home one of these sweet wholesomeness for his beloved wife. How about yours?

All we need now is a strong knife to break open the top, poke a hole, insert a straw and enjoy! ♥

So can it really help mitigate morning sickness and ward off nausea? All I know is, I love drinking it.

It was kinda late last night, so Hubby got those young thai coconut cost RM3.80 from the Chinese kopitiam for me. The malay stall that sells the local coconut was already close. Wonder how much are those. RM2+?

With the rate I’m planning to down them, I better get the local ones hehe ;)

I am not sure for certain that it curbs nausea… but it stays in my stomach without having me to hurl.. or requires me to drink pain water to ‘dilute’ the acid in my stomach before hurling so that it wont burn my throat… spicy, sweet, gassy food causes a lot of acid and it burns when I vomit :( I just found out that I cant take cabbage and baked beans….. as well…..

This should be temporary. Later of your pregnancy, you’ll be better and can enjoy more food. I remember my nightmare days too :(
