Week 21

I remember during my kindergarten days, my teacher would teach us to sing Mother Goose’s Nursery Rhymes over the piano. It brings back good memories now to relearn those that I know and also more, so I can sing to LBJ everyday. To date I’ve memorised almost 90!

Week 22

The smell of soaps still makes me want to throw up, especially Downy softener. Even watching their advertisement on TV makes me sick *goes green*

We all have our fair share of vivid dreams. But when you are pregnant, they become frighteningly alarming and you pray hard that it stays a dream!

LBJ is moving more and more inside me. I wish I could put the feelings into words. Seeing my belly move on the outside, feeling the kicks from inside and then touching it with my hands is just priceless! I know I will definitely miss this wonderful sensation after he is born next year.

The merciless itchy PUPPP rash has finally subsided *thank God* But there are still some lingering spots now and then — minus the itch — so it’s goodbye to my Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Stretch Mark Lotion. Anyone interested to buy it off my hands? I have a new box unopened.

There’s just so much to prepare and where do we begin? Researching on other people’s checklist has helped me to put this 1st draft together, and it is indeed terrifyingly long…

Week 23

I want to give LBJ the best, and that could only mean Breast Milk! I began a fanatical non-stop — hence the pelvic pain on 7/11/09 — research on Breast Pumps and finally decided on the Medela Harmony. Got some really good advice from the Mommies at MalaysianBrides.com forum too :)

As my belly grows bigger each week, having a good night sleep is getting harder. Not to mention that I need to sleep in the right position! Being a sleep-on-my-back person, sleeping on my sides was difficult at first. Now with the help of a pillow behind my back, I need not worry of rolling onto my back again between the night ;)

On 7/11/09, I had this sharp pain on my right pelvic every time I stood up. The husband was worried sick because he was away at work and I was home alone. So when he returned around 11pm, we went to the nearby clinic and the Doctor assured us that it is normal *phew*

We’re going to go Green and use Cloth Diapers on LBJ. But did you know there are just so many to choose from?

Week 24

Cracking “kuachi” is not just for during CNY. I first started on pumpkin seeds, and now has moved on to sunflower seeds. These tiny gems are packed with so much goodness!

Waking up with a jolt of lightning pain is no fun. At 5.46am on 11/11/09, I had my 1st taste of leg cramps on my right leg that left me screaming for the husband! *sobs*

For the 1st time on 13/11/09, we got to see LBJ up “closer” with a detailed scan by Dr Tan Lay Seng ♥

Week 25

Buying a baby carrier was really a luxury that could have waited. So I have to admit that it was pure “Kiasuism” that made me convinced the husband to buy it on eBay before even doing a thorough research *blush*

I was ignorant. I didn’t know that baby bottles had a 3-6 month lifespan. Did you? What about this silent killer called Bisphenol-A?

Going to a warehouse clearance when you are 70% heavily pregnant is not really pretty. But Pureen made it a worth while cause!

Week 26

We’re definitely half way there with the nursery items. The updated checklist is now much more refined and much more longer *horror*

I was born with small feet, and can fit into a size 3 at times. So you can imagine with the extra weight now, how could they not get swollen? I’ve moved up to a size 5 since week 19, and soon going on 6.

We got LBJ this adorable wind-me-up musical mobile that plays Brahms Lullaby. But it can only go on for 3-4 minutes. So for the meanwhile, I’m settling for Jewel to sing for us on the player instead.

Music is good for the soul. Even a tiny little one like the unborn baby’s. LBJ is now enjoying his daily dose of classical music as he paddles and somersaults inside me :)
