smelly beancurds, here we come!

just like the rest of the bargain hunters out there, ben and i joined in the rat race last evening to sniff out some cheap cheap travel packages at the kl convention centre. we went home with a handful of flyers ideally thinking of saving more through buying the tickets online.

(dear i know you’re reading this. and i take full ownership for the extra quid that we paid today!)

we returned this morning at ten hoping to get a better deal by buying directly from mas. my calculator says we can save almost 500 bucks! means more cash for shopping!! innocent, naive (and blind) *sweats* the obvious phrase goes: terms & conditions apply. the cheap airfair is not on the dates we want to fly! and so we walked away feeling dubbed (and dumb). sigh.

the moral of this story is: for good bargains, impulsiveness is the golden key.

hurriedly we headed back to parlo tours. it was a real heart attack when the price shot within seconds as the seats were selling fast. but thankfully, alas we managed to nab 2 class L tickets! if only i was quick in deciding last night, we would have walked away with a 100 bucks more of shopping money…

anyhow, i am thankful to be blessed with a fourth visit to the pearl of the orient this spring. it’ll be the first for ben, and i’m looking forward to play the proud “smartass” tour guide to my beloved husband *grin*
