4 Sep 2010It’s Bumbo meal time!
All looks calm under the tray

Half trusting, half suspecting
Mommy, what are you feeding me?

Heinz Baby Cereal with EBM
Hmmm this taste familiar

1 2 3 Open Wide
Open. Suck. Swallow.

Successful Day 3!
I think I can learn to like this

Today is already Day 6 since Natey started having a meal other than breastmilk. It’s actually pretty fascinating — if you knew, frustrating if you don’t — that only today that his solid looks like solid. Why is that so?
Breastmilk contains amylase, an enzyme that digests carbohydrates. When added to baby cereal, the mixture becomes thinner and thinner as you feed! *wahh*
So use less EBM and more water to achieve thickness. Else it’ll look like you’re feeding milk on a spoon *keke*
Did you notice that the photos above are already Day 3 and without Day 1 & 2? Baby Cereal is not Natey’s first food.
I was pretty gungho to start him off on Avocado rather than the common cereal after the research I did. Avocados are often called one of nature’s perfect foods because it contains everything a person needs to survive. Its “good fat” is best for baby’s brain and physical development.
So why the sudden change? All I can say is: What went in, came right back out! I hope to share more on this first experience soon. And a video too! *priceless*
Anyway, I am proud to announce that Natey is enjoying his baby cereal at 12.30pm everyday since Tuesday
Psst… Once again, these beautiful clear shots were taken with Panasonic GF1. If only we can loan it for more than 1 day then there’ll be more beautiful clear shots!*pouts*

Haha… “What goes in comes right out” is especially true for corn, which my boy loves yet I must control his intake. (Btw, start corn only after 12 months old, really difficult to digest.)
Have fun feeding.

Hi MieVee
The avocado must have tasted so awful for him keke. Imagine you never tasted anything but milk for your entire life and now this yucky green stuff hehe
Anyway nothing goes to waste. Now all the goodies goes to make both Mommy and Daddy fat! Our midnight snack using Natey’s blender to make Avocado smoothies
Will try avocado on him again in a week!

Not strange at all. It is my daily obsession
His poo now is not as liquidy and slightly drier. Would it be strange if I tell you that I even love the smell of his poo
