My eyes literally lit up when I spotted Lay’s and Ruffles going for RM6.99 in Carrefour’s Latest Catalogue (bottom right of Page 3) earlier today. Normal price is RM9.99, so that means it is almost a Buy 2 Free 1 concept *yay* *LOL*

I hurriedly dropped 4 bags of each — not the Original — into my basket and happily strutted along to finish my shopping *hearty smile*

(Note to Hubby: I know I promised no more junks. But cheap mah! *hehe*)

Unfortunately, I have not seen these in KL before

If you are a fan of Ruffles too and want to save that extra RM3.00, this promotion is going from 19th June to 1st July — you have exactly 1.5 weeks to stock up!

Btw, I was actually at Carrefour to exchange the batteries that I bought wrongly yesterday *stupid me* and buy again for my antique Free Arm Sewing Machine.

I am very happy to announce that it works! After retiring for almost three decades at least. Now I can finally retire my needles *yay*

So I am a Happy Happy Camper x2 today!

No Related Post]]> How often do you buy things off the shelves after seeing a price slash on its tag? Thinking that you can save a few bucks — or cents — you stock up on that item into your shopping cart and happily hits the cashier. Absentmindedly you pay without seeing the final scanned price and off you go, still joyously oblivious that a lot more has been paid *bummer*

That was exactly what happened. On a very, many occasions! Be it during Sales or not *sulks*

If I’ve left, I’d probably not bother. If I’m still there, I’d want a clarification of the daylight robbery *fumes*

When that happens, what would you do?

As for my case earlier, I went back to the aisle where my goodies (Ruffles *yum*) were shelved, removed the promotion label (Offer RM7.99, NP RM9.00) and went back to the lovely cashier (Ms Noor, counter 12). After apologizing profusely, they refunded me the extra RM3.03 — because I bought three — that their system has “accidentally” overcharged. How many other customers has it been before me?

The moral of this story is: If our whole intention was to save that few extra Ringgits by buying what’s on promotion, then it is a MUST to see the final price when the cashier scans our shopping items. Sometimes even the non discounted items are wrongly labeled. So beware.
