ode to my little robies: tomorrow is only a day away.

Mini is all about his namesake. Truly the smallest of his three brothers – Roby, Messy and Small Baby – he was the feistiest of the litter. Now that all three has gone, I am left with Messy – just as I have predicted – the least of them which I loved. The first to go was the one I loved most, and the next, and the next.

Messy and Mini had the Ovo Habitrail all for themselves since the other two have gone. It ought to be a heaven’s playground for the two little critters. So I couldn’t quite understand why when Messy started having fights with Mini about a month back. Poor Mini always survived the bloody injuries, but last night, I guess it was just too much. Mini died this afternoon *sobs*

I’m going to bury Mini next to Small Baby later tonight, when the husband gets back from work. My only regret was not being here when Roby died, else he would be buried together as well (-___-)

hanging on my heartstrings.

for the past few days, i’ve been spending some time to read my older entries on this blog – from when it was called unattendedv2 to the now, mellomouse. i must admit that it felt a bit awkward reading about my own life and recapturing the different events of the past two years. i wonder if that’s how it would be like, at the final second when pieces of my life flashes by (-__-|||)

during those quiet moments, i revisited the unwinding roads i’ve trampled, slapped myself for all the unwise decisions i’ve made, be inspired to complete the many unfinished businesses i started and wished i hugged my beloved dog one last time…

i dreamt of miko last night. it seemed so real as though she’s still with us. this pix was taken a year before she left us *weeps*

this little robo was my beloved among his three brothers; roby, messy and mini. when i brought them all home, i couldn’t decide on his name and started calling him number three. but very soon, he found a soft spot in my heart and earned the exclusive name of small baby. unlike his scardycat brothers, baby would cling to my fingers or sit quietly on my palm when i hold him *tugs* but his tiny life with us was short lived. baby got really sick one night and passed away in the clinic the next day – just seconds before the vet came. a month later, roby (my second favourite) followed baby while we were away in bali. so now messy and mini are our only robos left :’(

was it really a good idea time traveling to the past? maybe not from what i’ve just shared. but out of the many life stories not told – it also holds with it many sweet memories that helped wipe away the buckets i’ve shed

afternoon musing.

i’ve just finished my lunch and curiously wondering what my little mischiefs are up to at home.

what can four 2 months old roborovski puppies be doing at 12.49pm? chilling in their sandbox, munching on nuts, relocating the hays into their vip room, napping in the water chamber or trashing each other playfully?

these ridiculous images make me miss them more. but i’m betting that someone else is missing them even more than me. and that’s ben *snickers* he’ll only be seeing the robies tomorrow. or friday. unless now he makes more excuses to come to seri maya

i’m so excited! i feel like a little child getting her first pet. but since i’m not a little child, i get to have FOUR – notice i said “pet” and not pets *winks* the week long research on this adorable little creature proved to be fruitful. with sincere prayers and approval from the better half, i brought them all home today in a box from toby pet in ikano. i really really really missed having a furry friend…

i’ve yet to give my little babies each a name. they’ve been so hyper scurrying around in those tiny feet. maybe after a few days i’ll get to identify which is which. for the time being, roby1, 2, 3 and 4 would have to do
