“I know it’s silly and maybe vain” [Soraya] said to [Amir] on [their] way to her parents’ house, “but I can’t help it. I’ve always dream that I’d hold it in my arms and know my blood had fed it for nine months, that I’d look in its eyes one day and be startled to see you or me, that the baby would grow up and have your smile or mine.”

~Khaled Hosseini, The Kite Runner

Once again, I’m having that fuzzy feeling within me. Maternal instinct brewing?

Michelle, if you’re reading this, I had the baby dreams two months back. An elaborate affair from being pregnant, labour, to being a mother all broken down to a few episodes – could that be the pilot, and later season finale? So YES to your thought: our biological clock has started to tick – but mine has started long before today *check finger for band, phew!*

Btw, this book is a really good read. I’m only half way through but I’m enjoying every bit of it. Khaled has a way of crafting simple words into a beautiful river of story making :)

It’s scary to have you verify the fact that the dream = tick tocking !!
