the melodramatic mouse is now mellomom
was i surprised? Y-E-S! although i was quite suspicious the day before and half expecting, i can’t deny that i was all together surprised. i really had no idea what ben was up to when he suggested to go visit hsm after our little detour to silver ridge.
we reached our new home in darkness because there was no light. but this cheeky boy was well prepared – he brought a floor lamp and his props there the day before. with a cloth laid on the floor, candles, roses and 2 wine glasses with sparkling ribena (i can’t have alcohol due to bad stomach. bummer) we exchanged our valentine gifts. i gave him a box of handpacked hershey’s kisses and he gave me a paper ring. little did i know, the ring was made from the receipt of my brilliant rose!
ok the rest is history. ben proposed. and i giggled with an ok. i didn’t know what else to say but OK. so much so for being a writer lol.
here’s a glimpse of my best friend. if you’re still wondering what’s this whole best friend deal is about – go listen to marilyn monroe’s song “diamond is a girl’s best friend!”

so when is the big day? if you were paying enough attention to my entries before, you would have guessed that 1901 is the date itself – 19 january 2008 to be exact. so there you go. one date for two big events: 1) the day i said yes to being his girlfriend (190104) and 2) the future date that i will be saying i do as his wife (190108)!
